We Promote education and training for young people, and access work opportunities for young people while also delivering workshops for professional updating and training for the practitioners such as Counselling courses and relative CPD workshops.

LEVEL 4 DIPLOMA IN THERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING This two year part-time qualification gives learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context or private practice.

It is designed to lead to an employed or voluntary role in a counselling agency in both health care and non-medical settings. Learners with sufficient experience can also begin working as independent practitioners in private practice

You need to have successfully completed a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies, or equivalent, and you will also have an interview.

About The Qualification

This qualification is made up of QCF credit rated units developed in association with Skills for Health, the Sector Skills Council for the Health and Social Care Sector. When combined with the a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills, it meets the basic training requirement for recognition as a qualified counsellor and also contains supervised placement hours. Learners will complete this qualification with a comprehensive and full understanding of the following:

· Ethical frameworks, including the importance of setting, supervision and casework management in counselling

· The impact diverse culture and heritage can have on the client/counsellor relationship in a multicultural society

· One major therapeutic model

· How to conduct a counselling session with a client in an ethical, effective and safe way

· How to increase self-awareness

· The purpose and importance of Research in counselling

Progression Opportunities Learners who successfully complete the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling may progress onto Postgraduate and Post Qualifying courses in counselling studies that are designed to enhance the practice, skills and knowledge of a practising counsellor. This provides academic progression alongside a recognised career pathway. It combines the professional aspects, e.g. theoretical knowledge, counselling skills development, self-appraisal and commitment to provision of an ethical quality service and professional development element, which is necessary to ensure that the counsellor is fit to practice. Many learners progress towards national accreditation status with professional lead bodies. If learners wish to approach a professional regulatory body, they will need to ensure that they meet their requirements

Duration: 2 years Part Time

Day:

Wednesday - 9:30 am to 4.30 pm - with group sessions & one to one session.

Please note that this the course engages you in a experiential and self-explorative learning process and you must be willing to commit yourself fully to the personal, professional, theoretical understanding and academic developmental process.

There is also an annual compulsory Residential Weekend which focuses on your personal self-awareness development.

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN COUNSELLING SKILLS COURSE We deliver the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills QCF qualification has been designed to
provide you with an in-depth knowledge and competence of the counselling skills that can
be used in every day life and the theoretical models that underpin the use of counselling
skills. The qualification will also help you appreciate the importance of self-development.

This NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills QCF qualification enables you to work
towards becoming a reflective practitioner of counselling. It also provides knowledge and
understanding of the three main core theories and theorists that underpin counselling and
addresses the nature of psychological problems and how they may be approached.
The qualification can count towards certain dimensions of the NHS Knowledge and Skills
Framework including equality & diversity, personal & people development, communication
and interventions & treatments.

Duration: 24 weeks
Day:
Thursdays - 10.00 am to 4.00 pm - with online group sessions/one to one sessions
