Business Profile

About Us... What is Artweek?

Holmfirth Artweek is a local event with a national reputation. The majority of the exhibitors are from this area but large numbers of visitors come from all over the country to view and to buy. It is astounding how much artistic talent there is locally and it is this that makes the event such a success every year. As Holmfirth Artweek is a fundraising event, all work submitted must be for sale. A commission of 20% is charged on sales in the Exhibition, the Market & the Fringe with all proceeds being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The main Exhibition in the Civic Hall runs all week and features work by over 400 professional & amateur artists.

More Information... Holmfirth Artweek 2015 - Sunday July 5th to Saturday July 11th. Open to all artists, both amateur and professional – each entrant may submit up to two pieces. There is no selection process for public entries, but space is limited and the exhibition is always over-subscribed so a draw is held on 1 May to select each year’s exhibitors.

There is no application form for this part of the process and details about the work to be submitted aren’t required at this stage. Sending photos is not necessary.

Payment of non refundable £10 admin fee during 1st-30th April. If over subscribed places to be allocated by lottery. At least 280 places available & in past 5 years success rate is over 75%. If not successful £10 fee will be treated as donation to Macmillan & priority will be given if applying in 2016. Call us or visit our website for more information.
