I would give zero stars if I could. The atmosphere was toxic. A couple of things happened during the interview that I wished I had taken heed to, such as a school founder showing a nasty attitude and then telling me that I would not be allowed to teach in certain places because I am Black. She then said, as if it upset her, that they were not "allowed to" discriminate against people. It sounded to me like she wished they could legally discriminate against people. I should have run, but I didn't make the right decision. The other founder refused to take action concerning another student making a discriminatory remark against Black people, telling me I just needed to forget it. It was clear that White students were favored and that as a Black student I was deemed as strange and less important. The instruction was lacking. Taking the CELTA course at Leeds Action English was one of my worst experiences and a very expensive mistake.
