Business Profile

Bespoke Picture Framing What we can frame

Paintings or drawings on canvas, board, paper, papyrus or silk
Posters, prints and photographs
Fabric works such as cross-stitches, embroideries, tapestries and batiks
Football shirts, sports memorabilia, badges and medals
Objects such as baby shoes, cricket bats, champagne corks, boxing gloves and vinyl records
Custom mirrors made to any size
We also offer a restretching service for rolled-up or loose canvas paintings.

We can frame almost anything and are yet to turn away a framing challenge in over 25 years of business.

Frame Mouldings

We offer over 600 mouldings, all carried in stock, in both contemporary and traditional styles. From modern black, grey, white, and aluminium mouldings, to more traditional stained, guilded or solid wood mouldings, to custom hand painted, spray painted, waxed, or our own ultra smooth gessoed finish.
No matter how big or small, all our frames are hand crafted on site and finished to the highest possible standards, upholding our meticulous quality control.

Dry Mounting

Paper naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity, sometimes causing your print or photograph to ripple under the glass once framed. This is more likely to occur to larger posters, works on thin paper, work exposed to excessive heat/light, and is more noticeable on glossy prints.
We have multiple pressing facilities to ensure your artwork remains flat: self adhesive boards, a cold-mount roller, a screw top hot press, and a large hot glass vacuum press. Dry mounting is recommended for aesthetic purposes only; it is often irreversable and not recommended for works of high value.
We can also dry-mount onto MDF or dibond (aluminium composite), apply a matt, satin or gloss laminate washable seal, and add a sub-frame if you wish to hang your work 'frameless' and floating away from the wall.

Mount Cutting

Our jumbo computerised mount cutter cuts picture mounts from the largest and thickest mountboards available (up to 1630x1120mm), giving us the facility to cut mounts in large quantities with a quicker turnaround.
Choose from over 400 boards of varying colour, thickness, core colour and acidic protection. We can also cut out all manner of shapes and designs, including text. Mountboards are available for inidividual purchase.

Preservation

We offer conservation materials as standard, but if longevity and preservation of your artwork is of paramount importance, we can offer museum grade materials such as 100% cotton solid-core mountboard, non-reflective glass with 99% ultra-violet light protection, and the use of acid-free tapes, foil lining and protective backing boards to prevent any harmful chemcial processes from occuring. This will help protect your artwork from discolouring, fading, and becoming brittle over the decades.

Ready-made frames

For an on-the-spot solution, we make our own ready-made frames and picture mounts in standard sizes. Using a select few of our more popular mouldings, all of our read-made frames are constructed by hand using only 100% wood mouldings, with strong corners, glass (not flimsy scratch-prone perspex) and MDF backing.
