Hello! I'm Michelle, your local OSCAR Pet Foods Nutritional Advisor. I provide pet owners within the Wakefield area a free home delivery service of food, toys, treats and healthcare products for all types of pets including small animals, fish and wild birds.

I have gained an OFQUAL qualification in Companion Animal Nutrition (CertCAN QCF L3) and use my knowledge within the areas of diet and nutrition, feeding regimes and the effects of nutrition on the behaviours of dogs and cats to support all my customers and their pet's health and wellbeing.

By providing the right nutritional diet, I have helped customers with their pet's weight control, allergies (where food is identified to be a factor) and dietary issues often the cause of tummy upsets and runny poos. I let the pets try the food to see if they like it - no point in buying something they won't eat! That said, sometimes, it is not so much the pet being a fussy eater but the pet owners own habits and behaviours, I can help with that too! As the OSCAR motto says, it is "much more than pet food".

I love that I know each of my customers and their pets personally and that they feel confident that I have their pet's health and wellbeing at the heart of what I do. I am often referred to as "the dog food lady" - in fact, one of my customers can't say that out loud in earshot of her dog Joe, as he gets very excited thinking I am arriving imminently with more treats!!

My assistant, Ozzie, is an RSPCA rescue dog and has the job of chief taste tester. You will often see us delivering our customer's food and treats throughout Wakefield, usually stopping off for a quick walk around Pugneys, Thornes Park, Newmillerdam or Wrenthorpe Park on our daily delivery routes. Ozzie gets 'paid' with nutritious food and treats - he is certainly living his best life now!
